When Lotte Lieb Dula discovered her family had once enslaved people and that her grandmother had been part of the Ku Klux Klan she no longer felt comfortable existing in what she calls a 'white bubble.' Instead she began taking steps to make repairs for the role her family played in the racial disparities that still divide white and Black Americans. Her story is featured in a new WORLD channel documentary called "The Cost of Inheritance: An America ReFramed Special." Lieb Dula, founder of Reparations 4 Slavery and the film's director Yoruba Richen join GBH News' Liz Neisloss. The film kicks off a year-long look at the issue of reparations here at GBH.
