The next important milestone for Deutsche Bahn in the Stuttgart 21 project: trains are running on the new Interregio curve in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim. The ramp and flyover structure has been in operation since mid-March. Immediately prior to commissioning, Deutsche Bahn completed a tight construction program, with only three days scheduled for the final work. The Interregio curve replaces a section of track in the direction of Waiblingen and Nuremberg. The new Stuttgart 21 stabling station is currently being built there. The construction project is the largest expansion concept for public rail transport in Baden-Württemberg since the 19th century.
