Wait.... WTF is a MacGuffin??? ...read on....

In every story about espionage, mystery, or suspense, there is an object or objective that motivates the characters. This plot device is called a MacGuffin. It serves as a catalyst for the action in a story & to keep audiences engaged, yet is ultimately unimportant. It can be a goal, object, idea, or a gimmick that characters are in pursuit of, and this MacGuffin generally needs to be revealed in the first act.

CCC Icons: Fay Wray (1907 - 2004) the original Scream Queen "Queen of Scream."
This moniker stemmed from her memorable and expressive performances in several iconic horror and thriller films, where she often portrayed a terrified damsel in distress.

In the 1933 film "King Kong", Fay Wray's character Ann Darrow, screams about 56 times throughout the movie. The memorable screech was crafted with sound engineer Max Steiner (who won an Academy Award for his work on the film) Fay spent a day in the sound studio recording a series of screams she dubbed her "Aria of the Agonies". The scream has since become a cultural icon and a staple of film history.
