Why don't we use flares for illumination in night matches like Moons Out Goons Out? Well, the 1 Shepherd crew did experiment with the idea, because we wanted to use them. But here's Match Director Les explaining the problems, with both 26.5mm flares and maritime distress flares...

Today's video is my first time shooting a legit factory Glock 18 - but it's all full-auto fire and so I'm not posting it here. @Hoplopfheil  used Moons Out Goons Out 2024 as a platform for reviewing the Opsin Sionyx digital night vision unit. He used one as his helmet-mounted NOD throughout the match, and with his extensive night vision experience overall he's able to give a really good and balanced review of its performance. I've very excited to announce my newest book! This is the second in a six-volume series on small arms of WWII, this one focusing on the Soviet Union. Many of the Soviet weapons are recognized here in the West but not well understood, and I hope to help correct this with the book. Check it out! 

@KitBadger   has his Moons Out Goons Out 2024 loadout video live now (and I think his stage runs publish tomorrow).  He was a beast, shooting on both the staff match and the main match, and camping on the range the whole time.
