I was planning to have a video tomorrow about the RG35XX H....but I got sucked in and spent the past 2 days playing Snatcher on it instead of actually making a video. Don't worry video will come out next week.

It's a new year and definitely seems to be the year of YouTubers grappling with what it means to make YouTube videos. I mean this with full sincerity, two months ago (holy crap how is it almost February) I was planning on closing up shop in 2024. Starting a YouTube channel has been one of the best ideas I've ever had. I had aspirations of doing this full time when I got out of the Army about a year and a half ago, and afterwards I actually did do this as a full time gig. That last about four months before it didn't live up to what I'd hoped. What I mean by saying that is, as I was drafting emails to not reup sponsorships and cancel other projects in the background, I came to a realization. I'm unhappy with my disconnect from ya'll. I spent too much time making videos I thought would be good YouTube videos and not videos that are particularly useful on their own to you. Part of the joy I'd found in YouTube over the 7 years is interacting and engaging with you and somewhere along the line I've lost that. So in an effort to get back to what makes YouTube fun be on the lookout for changes this year. I would rather make videos useful and enjoyable to 1-10-100-10000 people instead of algorithm videos that just bounce around. I don't really use any other platforms other than YouTube at this point, so the most visible initial changes will be more interaction in the comments, and more community interactions here in posts. Now that these don't clog up video spaces I feel better about using this to talk to ya'll. Here's to an awesome 2024. Gary

Just a heads up but I did not preorder the Vision Pro. It seems like a cool gadget, and I love my oculus quest, but it didn’t seem to gel with me. Maybe in the future but I’ll let others cover it for now.

Hey team, thanks to you all for your patience as I deal with my broken ankle. We'll definitely have less video coverage out this release cycle because everything takes so much longer when you can't easily walk around the house. Let me know if there is anything you really specifically want to see from the new iPhones and Apple Watches and I'll make sure to prioritize that.

Hey team! It’s been 7 years and this week will be the first week we do not upload. I’ve been out on a business trip for 2 weeks so no video this Wednesday. But we’ll pick it back up next week.

Hey Team! It's time for our almost yearly community tab post! Wanted to give you an update and see how everyone is enjoying the recent videos. Something I've decided on since the last major update of posting once a week is, I'm going to ruthlessly cut the videos down to provide the max amount of information in the shortest amount of time. I know YouTube generally likes longer videos, but I want to make sure every second you spend here isn't wasted. Let me know if you like the shorter videos or if you want a little rambling thrown in for good measure.
Longer videos!
More concise videos!

Team, its been a LONG time since we used the community tab but I had some important information to put out. In an effort to provide better higher quality videos for everyone we're going to scale back to one video release a week starting tomorrow. Releases going forward will be Wednesdays at 10am EST. Three videos a week is not only a ton of work but it dilutes my ideas and makes it harder to make each video better than the last and I really want to make fun/informational content for you all to enjoy. Plus even I don't watch a creator 3 times a week. So hope everyone has fun and hope you enjoy the new videos going forward!
