Last year, I took four intrepid adventurers with me to Pakistan and we had an incredible time! Road trip games, impromptu photoshoots in front of glaciers and waterfalls, sampling Pakistani street food, crashing a local village wedding, sharing the awe of landscapes and creating memories as we explored Pakistan. 

The trip surpassed every expectation!

I’ve had the most consecutive burnouts in 2023 too. 🤯😉 

MY 2023 LESSON ✨

I started 2023 promising myself I’d pull back to give myself more rest.

2023 had other plans. It was a runaway with me chasing to catch up and ride it. 

✨Traveled five destinations – Mexico, Puerto Rico, Nepal, Pakistan, India (compilation reels are still rolling out) 

Pakistan and India were my fourth times returning!

✨Spoke at two conferences on the Business of YouTube. Totally honored and stoked. 
  🏆 1st annual  #CreatorMela  by invitation of the @usembassynepal
  🏆 Women in Travel Summit by @sheswanderful 

✨ Successfully engineered & hosted my first sustainable group adventure to a country I hadn’t traveled with a local operator and four strangers. It was magical! Hard work but satisfying and fun. 

✨Visited and/or volunteered at six animal rescue welfare sanctuaries around the 🌎 to experience/ share, how travelers can short term volunteer, while gaining a ✨meaningful experience✨

Grateful for all the people who crossed my path and helped me steer 2023. 

What folks didn’t see,…

For every high, there’s an equal low. 

👉Continually falling off my content schedule due to burnout and continual relapses. 
👉 feeling I was traveling too much & content overwhelmed 
👉 Not giving myself time to rest,  recalibrate, process changes inside me
👉Financial losses for trying new big things for the first time. 
👉 Starting to resent my work. Feeling like my creativity was pointless. 
👉 Feeling lost and needing to pivot my brand/content, b/c I didn’t know who my audiences were anymore. 
👉Feeling frustrated I could not give my personal life and @tinkertoons quality time

Lesson I learned: 

Life is what you make of it and what you make of it is how you choose to see it. Theres always two sides to a situation.  You decide whether you hold an opportunity or a failure, a valuable lesson or a tragedy.

I recently revisited Rajasthan on this last trip to scout some spots on my Holi India trip. Revisiting Rajasthan made me remember my first experience of India. 

MY FIRST TIME IN INDIA

… didn’t start great.
I took a group tour too.

 My friends and I fell to a common Delhi scam. Stuck in the cramped backseat of a tiny Tata car w/ 2 others. No AC. 
A driver, commission shops, no guides, bland budget hotels. 

It was my once-in-a-lifetime *virgin* trip to "magical Rajasthan." 
And I was barely experiencing it. 

Here's the thing: even with that rough start, India stole my heart. That's the magic I want to share with you. 
When I left that situation and did it MY way, I loved it!

So I built a better group trip! This Holi tour isn't just about the festival. It's about discovering the soul of India. 
I’m swapping bland budget hotels for boutique stays and fun mix of local transport & comfort. Any butt-squeezing we do to be followed by fun laughter. 

Trust me, your virgin trip to India deserves more than a backseat of a Tata car.
