It’s been bloody hot over here and four days into another heat wave 🫠 which means total fire ban all round the state still but that should be lifted tomorrow When the temperatures plummet to a low 30°C . At least then I’ll be able to meltdown something I’ve not melted before on this channel. I’d be curious if anyone can guess what this weeks melt will be. Well until Friday. Hey there all you awesome People how is your week going? It is damn hot over here that’s for sure and a 40°C day melting well over 20kg of Copper certainly takes a bit out of ya🫠. 
A great few melts this week with a few trips and the usual bits and pieces .An awesome donation to the channel from my friends workshop (a busted 320 kg motor). A fun one so check it out on Friday if you have the time, if not chuck it on your watch later list and get to it when you can, but most importantly enjoy the rest of your week, and I hope to see all your beautiful people on Friday👋🏻. 

So it turns out crucibles don’t last forever 🤦🏻‍♂️! 
Not to worry, It did a good job and it went out like a champion. A new friend dropping in on the channel and a melt of something I haven’t done before. 
A bit off subject but I certainly love a 351 Ford Cleveland engine 👌🏻

All I can  say is the bloody cast iron mold was 17 kg on its own so it was fun trying to flip it over with my little arms!
