I compiled all of my monthly videos from the second channel and added in a month I missed to make one massive video going over all of the games I played last year. So if you haven't been keeping up with the second channel (or didn't know it existed) check it out! 

this is my semi-annual sad post about my football team losing.

I posted my first video 10 years ago today, which I am struggling to comprehend at the moment as I don't feel like I've been doing YouTube for that long, but I guess I am old as hell now. Before making my first video, I had a lot of hopes for what the channel could be, and then after making and releasing it, I realized how unlikely it would be for video making to ever be anything other than a hobby. I think coming to terms with that helped me focus on making stuff that I wanted to watch, and I've found it to be creatively fulfilling in so many ways. With that said, it is hard to maintain a hobby like this forever, and I figured it'd fade out at some point—frankly it was close to fading out a handful of times, but luckily people in my life pushed me to keep going. All this is to say, to still be making stuff a decade later feels incredible, and the fact that I get to do this as a job now is something I will never take for granted.

I have a second channel that I am going to start releasing some videos on. It mostly will be a place for me to put some ideas that I just don't think fit the vibe of the main channel in terms of subject matter, style, and how I produce them. I figured I would start that by doing a quick look at the games I played in February. If you're interested in seeing some more stuff from me that is a bit different from what I do here, check it out. 

sorry for the gap in videos. I wouldn't say I have been feeling burnt out, but I did realize I've been putting off a handful of things I want/need to do because I am always busy, so I took February off to work on some side projects, take care of real life stuff, and play a handful of games that I wanna talk about in the future. still gonna be a bit of a wait for the next video, but I do have a release date for it that is also kind of a clue as to one of the main games I will talk about it in it. so uh see you march 26th (okay maybe won't be the 26th, but will be close after). 

Weird question, but I am curious if any of you are expecting me to make a “Games That Got Me Through 2022” video this year. 

Just realized today is the 9 year anniversary of the channel. Feeling grateful and old. Thanks for helping me turn this stupid hobby into a stupid career. It means more than you will ever know.
