Hello world! My name is Paul Krause. I'm the editor-in-chief of VoegelinView and a writer on the arts, humanities, and classics for numerous magazines, newspapers, and journals across the English-speaking world. I hold an MA in biblical and religious studies from Yale; an MA in philosophy from the University of Buckingham (UK) where I studied with Sir Roger Scruton; and a BA in economics, history, and philosophy from Baldwin Wallace University. My primary concentrations in philosophy were political philosophy, ethics, aesthetics, and German Idealism. My primary concentrations in biblical and religious studies were the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and Patristics. In history, I mostly focused on ancient/classical and Islamic history. Now I mostly write on literature, bringing out the philosophical and religious themes and symbolism in their stories. I'm the author of Finding Arcadia (2023), The Odyssey of Love (2021), and The Politics of Plato (2020). Lastly, I'm also an avid hiker!
