Brief return to announce that there will be a special upload tomorrow to celebrate two years of The himynameisshan Album! I recorded an audio commentary, much like I did with Everything Is Wonderful, and this one is over an hour long! Just something to put in the background or if you wanted to learn more about that album. I can't believe it's been two years since that album came out. Make sure to revisit it this month for me. Going to be taken a bit of a step back for the next couple months. Recent events in both my online and personal life have put a bit of a strain on me, and I have other things I want to take care of before I come back with anything. 

I'm gonna be updating descriptions and doing a slight organization of this channel while I'm relatively inactive, so if you see some changes, don't be surprised haha. This isn't a complete hiatus from mashups, trust me. But I do need a proper break, instead of just saying I'll be gone and just not posting. I need to step away FULLY and reconfigure my brain. I will be doing other stuff here and there, and working on non-mashup projects behind the scenes. The world of Amoretta is slowly taking shape, and it's making me genuinely excited. I'm glad that the Shan projects get to be that first stepping stone.

Thanks for all the support on TOO COOL FOR FUN EP, these past couple months. Keep it up for me, while I'm out. You all are great, well not all of you, a good handful of you. Everyone else is okay at best. Maybe.

I'll be putting out a few remasters of old stuff this year for different projects. I have a few already selected that I wanna give a facelift too, but what are some older tracks of mine (i.e., pre-Wonderful and YTN) that you'd wanna see revisited? I'm curious.. 

The "Too Cool For Fun" video will feature a new mix of the track, and that track will soon be replaced on both my Bandcamp and my Ko-fi mashup folder. The video mix will omit the ending section (aka "Hiding Zone"), and will feature an alternate ending, which is the new version that will be featured everywhere. I won't be removing the original full EP stream, and the original version of the track will be available as a free download, as I no longer wish to make money off of that new ending.

I always do my best to respect victims when choosing certain samples, and sometimes I end up choosing samples by artists that end up doing things I cannot stand by, or I am simply uneducated. Some mashup artists make an effort to emphasize that "sample use =/= support of actions", and I sometimes follow that rule myself. But certain things are too close to home that make me realize I cannot allow to promote the use of an artist. It's why I've no longer made Dream mashups, or Melanie Martinez mashups. I do my best to be mindful where I can, and even if the news comes out after a release, sometimes I choose to either reiterate that I don't support said artist, or in this rare case, I'll simply make a new mix instead.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the lyric video to my contribution to Mandela! 4 here shortly, at the end of this month on the 29th, to celebrate it being a special day. Many of you have asked me to get around to it's upload, and I promise you, it's finally coming.

Thank you for your overwhelming support lately. I apologize for the amount of inconveniences that have arisen in the past few months, but I continue to do my best to provide *only* my best, and to make sure what I'm doing is right by myself and you all. Please be patient during this time, with me finalizing the rollout of my latest release, as well as the recent Mashpit news, which I still stand by. Maybe I don't owe it to you all, but I owe it to myself. So thank you, for staying, and supporting. I promise you, it's all greatly appreciated. 

Why I Left The Mashpit. 

I've been transferring old files from my laptop. I have about 10 GB total of himynameisshan. history. Some of the things I found include: the unreleased-and-scrapped Confushan 2, a transitionless version of Everything Is Wonderful, a potential live mashup set mix, tons of demos and unreleased mashups, unreleased collaborations, and more.

Maybe I'll show stuff off from the vault one day? What do y'all wanna see? Anything I didn't mention that you're curious to know about? Let me know! 

A bit of transparency.

The visual for The Less Fun, The Better won't happen, since Ben Animated already has the song up on his own channel, and I'd rather he get the views. The visual for Reintroducshan will release this month, and at the end of the month, the video for Too Cool For Fun will come out. Sometime soon, Acai's reaction to the EP will be uploaded, so if you missed it, keep an eye out within the next month or so. After that, I'll essentially be done with the EP rollout, though I do wanna go live one day and break down the EP. Just depends on my mood.

notesfromthenevermore is still under construction. There's a lot I wanna say, and I want to make sure these mashups are explained in a way that gets the point across, but doesn't compromise my own privacy. But I think you all will like it.

I'm gonna be making that fabled update video sometime this month. Things have stagnated behind-the-scenes, and I prefer to just get things off my chest, talk about the future, and give y'all the truth, since some people have been spinning a story behind my back. There's no "drama" or "miscommunication" or something. I want this chapter of my life behind me, I want to move on.
