I got the bright idea that Bob the Bot should cut car spring in half at the same time we are crushing it with the press 😂🤌

Any other ideas what to cut and crush?

After one hour of fucking around and finding out Bob the Bot moves!

Thanks to ABB service guy stopping by and sending some manuals to get started with this.

I need still bit time to make programs and get it safe enough to run them. But it works which is not a sure thing when buying 24 old robots from internet auctions 😂

We crushed some hammers today. I can describe the process as an eventful afternoon at the workshop :D

After carefully inspecting the footage I can declare that the 300 ton ProfiPress jumps about 1 inch into the air when you do stupid things like this with it :D

That also explains why our neighbor visited us after two hammer complaining that the windows are shaking on their house and cat is going crazy :D The frame of the press weighs 5 tons so it's going to make some seismic activity when it jumps on concrete floor.

We are going to install some rubber elements under the press and bolt it to the floor to prevent this in the future.

I just bought industrial robot!!

After thinking some time the robots I realized that I really need one! (who doesn't need one?) And the stars happened to be lined just in a right way since I spotted this beauty from auction site! She has only 300 hours runtime and looks like almost new.

Newer cobot (co-working robot) would be easier to program but those are starting from 20 000€ and this was....

3700€!!! Or around 4000 freedom dollars! I have no idea how much these cost brand new but bit more than 3700€

I bought this mainly to work as super heavy duty camera robot that can take some hits so probably best to have well protected steel robot rather than fancy light weight cobot or cinema robot. And we probably end up doing same 20 cameratricks again and again so after I once program those in they are fast to use.

We are going to bolt this to the roof of the bunker and have it on sliders so we can adjust the distance to the press.

Super hyped up about this and it's going to look so bad ass there!
