Beware! Tonight, April 24th, is St. Mark's Eve.

According to English tradition, they who sit upon the porch of a church in silence on this night between the bells that mark 11 PM and 1 AM will observe the spirits of those who are going to die in the coming year entering the church in the order in which they will die.

Each region seems to have its own variation on how this may be accomplished. In Yorkshire, one had to keep watch at these times for three nights. Others held that the witness had to be fasting. Some claimed the witness had to first circle the church.

A little know fact about solar eclipses: they can affect sound!

But only certain kinds.

When the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun, it actually causes neutrinos in the Earth's atmosphere to sublimate all the way down to the sclera of the Earth for the duration of totality, an effect known as the Roddenbery effect.

This affects how sound waves pass through the air. However, at such low levels, the effect is not noticeable with most day-to-day sounds, such as human conversation, car horns, or wind rustling through tree leaves.

However, certain noises at just the right frequency can be affected. As it happens, certain animals make noises precisely in this frequency. Scientists claim that the most effective way to create this effect is by imitating these animals as closely as possible. (Note: It will not work on a phone or radio).

One animal is the dolphin. This may be more effective for people with higher-pitched voices. If, during totality, you make an "EE EE EE EE EE" noise, your voice will echo, as if you're talking into a tunnel!

For those with lower voices, scientists recommend imitating the chimpanzee. Simply yell, as loudly as you can, "OHO OHO OHO OHO WAHHAA AAH AAH AAH!" in the simian manner. Again, the same effect will occur.

If neither of those work, you can always just yell: Happy April Fools' Day!

As we found in the Roman graffiti video, the Romans were inches away from such memes, albeit on literal walls.
