UH OH sincere post time!

I finally hit the big milestone of 1,019,317 subscribers! This is definitely the milestone I was waiting for! I certainly didn't forget to post about a different milestone a few weeks ago!

I never really planned for what I'd do in this scenario, mostly because I never really expected to hit it. I have lots of feelings about making silly nonsense videos for a living, and about doing it independently for the past two years, and about how strange it is that so many people watch these silly nonsense videos, but for now I'll sum up those feelings as "immense gratitude." 

Thank you for watching my silly nonsense videos, whether they're about midnight cooking or pumpkin cowboys or health insurance terminology or my inability to wear hats. I know that YouTube channels are supposed to have cohesive brands and series and videos that make people say, "Oh yes, I understand why that video was made," so it makes me even more thankful that you've all come along for the ride—whatever that ride might be. I certainly don't make it easy for you all. But it means the world to me. 


I hope that your 2022 is wrapping up nicely. I have no idea how 2023 will turn out, but I'm tentatively hopeful. I'm doing a little Patreon stream this Friday, Dec. 30, which will mostly be games and probably some karaoke to help me round out the year (  https://www.patreon.com/briandavidgilbert  ), but other than that, I'm gonna keep on trucking into the new year with the same sense of direction I always have. Which is to say no direction. Thanks so much for everything.
