Hey guys! Sorry for the delay, I've been a bit busier than I had expected with some of my other responsibilities outside of the channel. Currently working on polishing out my sketchybar config to put a walkthrough together for you guys 🚀

Hey guys! So I was tinkering around today on my macbook and uncovered these really interesting spotify related cli tools. I use spotify often to listen to music while I work. One of these is called spicetify ( https://spicetify.app/ ) and you can use it to change the look and feel of the spotify desktop app. I played around on mine and came up with a similar theme to my Neovim setup's nightfly. I also discovered a terminal based spotify client called "spotify tui" ( https://github.com/Rigellute/spotify-tui ) which looks really cool for playing songs on spotify from within the terminal. There's a neovim plugin for it that I'm planning on trying, but haven't checked out yet. I wanted to gauge how many of you might be interested in seeing a video or two on these tools and how to use them. Not sure how many of you use spotify to listen to music like I do. Let me know! Hope you're doing well.

Hey! After a couple of recommendations from you guys, I decided to give the lazy.nvim plugin manager a try and it's been awesome! It's allowed me to reorganize my config into a really nice, more effective, and simpler structure! It not only adds some awesome efficiencies for loading neovim plugins and overall startup times, but also makes the experience of managing plugins simpler and more enjoyable. Other than switching out packer to lazy.nvim, I've also added some new plugins to my setup. Currently, I'm working on putting a video together, explaining everything I think you should know for a really nice plugin management experience with lazy.nvim and I'm hoping to release this sometime next week! It won't be specifically a migration guide, but a complete tutorial on how lazy.nvim works and what I think is the best way to structure your plugins with it. Along with that, I'll be updating the repo with my latest config as well. I'll probably leave a branch open with my previous setup for those of you that might still need it for reference. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey guys! Quick update! I'm currently working on a video that will go over the most important Vim concepts that have really helped me learn and master using the editor. This video is primarily for those of you who are pretty new to Vim and will go over the most important concepts you should know and what has helped me the most to remember them. Even though this video will primarily be for those first starting out with the editor, for those of you who already use Vim on a daily basis, I'm hoping it'll still be helpful.

My plan is to get started making videos again with this one first, and down the line talk about more complex topics like working with macros and dive deeper into the plugins that have really been crucial for me for this past year using Neovim. I'm also looking to dive deeper into other workflow-related topics like window management and what has been working well for me for these past few months.

Some of you have mentioned going over configuring Neovim with lsp-zero, concerns about null-ls getting archived, updates concerning the repo, etc... I really appreciate the feedback and I've added these topics as possible future videos for the channel. As of right now, I'm not terribly worried about the null-ls archival, I'll keep using it for now and we'll have to see how things evolve down the line. Hoping to get the next video out in about a week or two. Hope you're doing well!

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while! I’ve been pretty busy for the past few months with work and haven’t been able to dedicate as much time to the channel. Hoping to get back to it whenever I can. If you guys have any suggestions on content you’d like to see from me, let me know in the comments! I’ve been really enjoying using the tools I’ve shared with you for my everyday dev work and they have been really helpful and fun to use. Making the videos for you guys has been a way for me to dive deeper into being more efficient with how I work as a software engineer and that’s been awesome. Thinking I could make some future videos on my long term experience with these tools and dive deeper into some of the concepts I’ve already shared. Let me know what you think. Hope you’re doing well!
