If you're in Chicago, I'm giving a talk tomorrow with my wife and business/design partner, Allison Newmeyer, about a recent design for a pavilion in Spain. The talk is at the Society of Architectural Historians at 6 PM. See you there! Link: https://mascontext.com/events/spaces-with-stories

Just a heads up that I'm starting to post videos on Nebula with content that doesn't make it into my main videos. There's an extended 10 minute cut of an interview on the Nakagin Capsule Tower. It's super interesting and goes into some stuff the main video just couldn't cover. By far the best way to watch these videos is to sign up for the Nebula/Curiositystream bundle for only $11.59 per YEAR! You're getting so much content for less than a dollar per month. We'll be shifting our schedule to a video every two weeks until the end of the school semester in May. It's important to keep the quality high even while videos are getting more complex and teaching is ramping up here at the end of the semester (hey ARCH 366!). We'll resume with a video every Thursday once school is concluded. I can't overstate how appreciative I am and how meaningful it is to me that you all are so supportive and so encouraging of these videos. I love making and sharing them with you. Here is an epic drone shot from the next video.

No video this week. That's because I've been working on some big things! Here's a sneak preview from the next video, where I met the self-proclaimed 'best ironworkers that ever lived!' I can't argue with that...

I simply cannot believe it. We hit 100,000 subscribers last night. I am truly grateful to everyone for the support. It’s been just under a year since the first video went live on YouTube. That was after months of false starts and overcoming the anxiety of recording. Every week since, we’ve put out a video, learning together along the way. Making videos is joyful and rewarding and I hope they are the same to watch. Thank you to everyone involved: Allison for all her countless hours 3D modeling and dealing with my neuroses; Jimenez for the pep talks and writer’s room meetings; Grant for the endless back and forth; friends like Thomas and family like my mom and brother for the encouragement; Diego at Archdaily for seeing something early on; UIC for the support; everyone who has been subjected to being in front of the camera, and anyone else roped into the whirlwind. Thank you to those who have watched, supported, and engaged with comments. It’s been a wild ride so far and here’s to many more videos together. Cheers!

I was interviewed on Chad and Steve Have a Podcast. It was a ton of fun! We talked about popular episodes and where they came from, as well as architecture in general. Check it out here: https://www.chadandsteve.com/episode/ ...
