hey everyone! whew sheesh I am having a busy busy time right now. I wanted to give a little update here as I haven't had time to record an update video yet 😵 I'm having a really disruptive time in my personal life at the moment. I quit my job in the games industry a month or so ago bc I was very unhappy and at one of the lowest points of my life there. I've started another job back in my old industry (corpo project management stuff!). the new job is great but changing jobs is always a bit stressful and a lot to take in. my cat Cola has also been diagnosed with heart disease and if you know me at all, you'll know I took this very hard. She’s of course none the wiser but it’s horrible to know she is in poor health at the minute. it was also very costly to get her the heart scan and subsequent help she needs- so more stress there! we are also currently in the process of moving house. which, no matter how prepared you try to be, is always a huge task and extremely draining mentally/physically/financially. you may have noticed a few extra one-off sponsored videos going up here and there. I've taken a few extra opportunities that have come my way to help some of the blow to my finances from moving costs/fees/deposits/Cola's vet bills etc. I hope they've been enjoyable extras and not too disruptive to the usual content - it's hard not to feel bad about taking sponsored opportunities but it really has been a saviour for me recently and I'm grateful not only to the devs who want to sponsor the channel, but to you guys that engage with the content.❤️ moving will mean I have a lot less time to make content in the next few weeks while I get my desk setup again, get internet installed, and generally settle in. I'm feeling sentimental and sad to leave my old office behind - I started the channel in this house and it feels like so many memories have been made here. it's going to be quite discombobulating but I'm EXCITED to build Emmalition HQ 2.0! 👉So what does the future look like?👈 🌐 New house... faster internet. I've always said I couldn't livestream because my old house was in a place with very bad internet options. However, the new place has much faster options! There's potential to do some YouTube Lives and just goof around together, farm on Dark Souls, prep for Elden Ring DLC together - if you'd be interested? We have a few ongoing series right now that I promise WE WILL FINISH. ✨Dark Souls 2: I'm editing the next video, another jolly co-op with Amber. I'll aim to have it up this week. I'm not sure how much of the game we have left but based on other creators' playlists I'm guessing maybe 5-6 episodes for the base game? ✨Tomb Raider Remastered: had a BLAST with those first few videos, and then all of the above chaos started happening. I will finish at least Tomb Raider I Remastered once settled into the new house! (Edit)✨The Walking Dead: season 3 we’ll jump into soon! Those games are such a joy (and trauma?) to play! ✨HOLLOW KNIGHT: it's been 2 months since our last HK video. I'm SO SORRY. I want to keep making progress through the DLC and BEAT TRAITOR LORD BECAUSE I STILL DIDNT DO THAT DKJKLFDJKSJDS. I was in the eye of the storm with my job during this playthrough and it was the only thing keeping me sane. But that means it's been a little difficult to go back to, as when I think about the series, it takes me back to that stressful and unhappy time. However, I love it so much, and I want to reclaim the joy of Greenpath's music and the wonder the game has to offer. I'll get back to it next month (if you're still interested!) And... 🚗 Road to Elden Ring DLC!
