With the aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower deploying to the Mediterranean with part of the battle group, and the Houthi now attacking vessels in the Indian Ocean with drones, it raises the question even more, has International Shipping lost the Red Sea? 

Big news from Baltimore with Dali expected to be moved by May 10 and the channel to be opened to 45 feet.

Satellite imagery shows MV Roy P Benavidez constructing the offshore pier near Gaza.  Other ships in the region include USNS 1st Lt Baldomero Lopez with Navy watercraft and lighterage on board, along with Army watercraft to be used in shuttling cargo from the offshore pier to the Trident pier that will be run ashore.  The Trident pier is under construction. 

Update from the Port of Baltimore.  The Federal Channel has now re-closed while efforts are underway to move Dali.  Plans are to reopen the channel on May 10.
