The Mamluk Armada appears in the Indian Ocean! It is deployed against the son of the Viceroy, Lourenço de Almeida. However, the young Almeida is determined for redemption in his father's eyes for his prior failure at the battle of Dabhol. His need to regain his father's favor leds him to make serious mistakes. 

Well I still have another two pages to write and dictate - this next episode on Almeida and his Son will likely hit the 30 minute mark. You folks are ok with that right? 

I've been working extensively for the past week - finally have some time off and started recording the second part to Francisco de Almeida. Already about 9 minutes in - think this will be another 20-25 minute episode. Hoping to have it out in Audio Podcast format early next week.

Just about done with the next video in the Age of Discovery series. Part One of Francisco de Almeida should be out in a few days! 

Came home after work last night to find I hit the quarter million mark! Thank you everyone out there for making this happen. I'm also just about done with the next video in the Age of Discovery series and it should be out later this week!

The first part of Franciso de Almeida's journey into the Indian Ocean is out in podcast format. Download wherever you get your podcasts from. The video will be up by the end of the week. This is not just the story of a man who was devoted to his king and country and would lay the true beginning of the Portuguese Empire, but also the story of a man committed to his only son. 

This would be a very difficult task to translate the Portuguese videos into Portuguese. But think it would be interesting. 

I'm going to approach the next explorer - Franciso de Almeida - from the prospective of a Father / Son relationship. The two men would trailblazer the process of establishing the Portuguese Empire. It will be a story of both success and failure. It will be about a son's redemption and a father's vengeance culminating in the pivotal Battle of Diu.
