Right now, @RonsCompVids is moderating a discussion about a scammer who has targeted folks in the vintage computing community. I personally don't know this individual but it's an interesting discussion, and could be useful to any of my viewers who may be involved in retro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sANdq...

Let's settle this. Once and for all. Incredibly scientific poll. Only one can win. Blogs vs email newsletters:

Conventional wisdom is: "put a face in your thumbnail". I've been doing that, mainly because it's silly and fun. But now I'm curious. What do you think?
I am more likely to click a video if there's a face in the thumb
I am less likely to click a video if there's a face in the thumb
I don't care about faces in the thumbnail

Hi folks! I posted the video on the Open Source Cartridge Reader yesterday: - PeerTube (ad free/self-hosted/no tracking): https://tinkerbetter.tube/w/aPZWJQzFznqLYosTxmb1Es - YouTube: https://youtu.be/coxgx3-tuR8 - And a brief written summary on my website: https://vkc.sh/sannis-open-source-cartridge-reader/ I know it's outside of my normal fare, but I appreciate all of the positive comments and interest in it. This was a tough one to complete as I had to do a lot more research and footage gathering than in other videos. In other news: it's been a bit since I had a member only livestream, so lets plan one. Saturday, 11am America/Chicago! I think I might try installing OS/2 on my 486. Provided the 486 is operating normally on Saturday, that is! Otherwise maybe I'll just run it in an emulator. I'm new to OS/2, so this will be interesting. If you're a fan of alternate operating systems for ancient platforms, you might enjoy the ride. I'll post a link to active, paid members on Ko-Fi/YouTube/Patreon a few hours before go-live. Thanks, folks!
