Greetings! I'm going to interview a couple of folk involved in the Orthodox Christian mission to Oceania (and to Fiji, in particular)...do you have any questions that you'd like me to ask?

Dear Brethren,

It’s with a heavy heart that I've decided that I need to come up with a formal commenting policy. Up until now I have had a libertarian approach and, except in very rare cases, allowed folks to say whatever they’d like. I just now got personally attacked in the comments section by someone who does not know me at all, but saw fit to attack my character and intentions, suggesting that I have some kind of secret agenda (it’s not the first time that it’s happened, but this was the final straw…see Comment Policy #1).
For now, here’s the Protecting Veil Commenting Policy v1:

Comment Policy
#1 Any comment that assumes the ill intent of anyone else without explicit proof (that is, accompanied by a specific and legitimate reference) will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be blocked.
#2 Personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated, either on myself, on other commenters, or on any third parties including (and especially) any Orthodox pastors. The internet is not the proper forum for dealing with specific ecclesiastical and pastoral issues, the Church has a formal process for dealing with such things, and we should be faithful to this tradition.
Hopefully that’s enough. (In case it’s not, I think Fr. Stephen Freeman’s ground rules are worth looking at as well: https://blogs.ancientfaith.com/glory2godforallthings/some-groundrules-for-this-blog/ )

Wishing you a blessed Pentecost,

In our Risen and Ascended Lord Christ,

Christ is Risen! I pray this finds you all well and able to enjoy these days of paschal light and joy! May God continue to give us the strength and wisdom needed to navigate these difficult times. I would like to engage questions that you might have regarding our current global and ecclesiastical situation. Please comment below with any questions regarding our global situation and the Church's response to the pandemic, and I will figure out a way to engage your questions!
