I am currently in my office inside a blanket with my fingers poking out to type this message. I am a contemporary human-like squirrel. Anyway.

EVERYTHING JUST TAKES BLOODY HOURS. GOODNESS GRACIOUS. 

I uploaded the first single of my album and the music video today. They will be out on April 7th. The preparation and details are so intense! The last time I did any of this stuff was when I was 17 uploading my first lil’ EP. The cover art of which was a photo of me (that was the wrong size) with my name in ‘Times New Roman’, which I fashioned myself on Microsoft paint. I put a bit more effort in this time.

But yeah! My musical endeavours have just required so much of my attention now that they are ready to be released. Like babies ready to be born. My brain is having contractions every day and I have to just push. Well maybe, I don't know because I have never had a human baby. But I am about to have 10 song babies. I guess.

I have still been filming reactionalysis videos! I remain your loyal TFVM! They are in production as always, I just need more time than usual to finish them so it’s a bit tricky to commit to our Fairy Folk Friday premieres right now. 

I’ll go live next week to check in and remind thee of thine gorgeousness. I will also be uploading some little videos to Patreon this week too to answer all the questions you have asked me over there in detail.

I hope you're having a sensational Sunday filled with love and pancakes.

I don't intend to bog you down with my personal music projects, for here, I am proudly your Fairy Voice Mother. I just thought i'd pop a link to a premiere happening today. This is one of the first of many musical works I will soon be posting on my other channel, 'Lolli Wren', for those of you that might be new here and didn't know it existed.

'Hurt' probably has enough versions already, even just between the original by Trent Reznor and the overwhelmingly haunting version by Johnny Cash. But hearing how they could both tell their respective stories of sadness through this magical song in such different yet equally as powerful ways, I suppose wanted to see if could tell it too. 

Singing this song turned out to be a very cathartic opportunity for me to talk about the darkest time in my life. Vulnerable, intense and desperate. It was important healing for me to acknowledge how awful I used to feel, because it paved part of the path that lead me here.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE my first album, 'To Build a Sea' is on it’s way to tell the full story, in my own words this time, of the last 6 years or so or my life. 6 years of paving stones. A path of confusion, excitement, frustration, anxiety, numbness, acceptance, serenity, joy and eternal hope- told through music with just as many genres!

Here is a virtual hug. The only kind of hug you would want from me at this time, because I have a nasty lil’ bug in the cold, flu, sore throat genre. Ew. Daphne is an excellent nurse though so I’m sure I’ll be fine.

My back-on-the-wagon-for-2024-coming-in-hot-with-the-content plans are postponed until all the bothersome buglings that lurk within me are expelled. But rest assured, they are coming.

I have so many videos planned! Of course, many will be our good old fashioned reactionalysis videos, but I’ve got loads more ideas that I’m looking forward to sharing with you too! 

My biggest goal this year, is to make this corner of the internet better than ever! Fun, entertaining, educational, original, fun, honest, fun, interesting and diverse. A place where everyone is welcome, encouraged and appreciated. You deserve nothing less.

I don’t speak ‘bug’ so I can’t say for sure when I can make my next video. But I have everything crossed that it will be next week.

It. Has. Been. A. Week!

This week I recorded music videos for 2 of the songs that will be on my album early next year. If I wasn’t so tired, I would be doing cartwheels in the street and screaming with excitement. I had some very ambitious ideas for these videos and the team I worked with managed to make the ideas even more ambitious and jaw-droppingly amazing. @Indieror were completely perfect in every way. Thank you Diogo, Tiago, Marta and of course our very own visuals fairy, Carolina.

I have waited many years to make a body of work like this and YOU, FVC, are the reason it’s happening.

Being your fairy voice mother has given me the opportunity to work with people that couldn’t have found me otherwise! Everyone I am working with on this album both musically and visually are because we connected in this lil’ corner of the internet we’re in now. ISN’T THAT THE COOLEST THING!!!! I know we’re still a teeny channel over here in comparison to the greats of the YouTube music analysers. But, this community is already a million times more than I could have dreamed of. I am delighted by the prospect of welcoming more and more fairy folk here in the future, but whenever it is they find us, it’s okay! 

We are sensitively strong. We are bravely emotional. We appreciate perfect imperfections and beauty in all its forms, and we do love a good larynx. 

Soooo. We’ll be resuming our regular episodes of music analysis and live streams next Friday, just to give me a chance to catch up if that’s alright. But until then, I just want to leave you with this lil’ message I wrote just now in the bath:

Sometimes, our life’s mission knocks on the door quite early. Yet no matter how hard we try, we can’t seem to twist the handle to open that door and and let it in. It can be sad and incredibly frustrating. Maybe the door is jammed because we’re forcing it too hard? Maybe someone has given you the wrong key? Either way, maybe instead of forcing the same handle forever in hopes it may open, you might like to take some time to have a little wander around your beautiful soul and discover what else is there. You could even find a secret little door that leads to a secret little room. Once you go through this door, you might just end up in an entirely new, joyful, magical world to explore. It could be full of lots of love and healing and other nice stuff. You might grow to love it here so profoundly that you don’t really worry so much about who was at the front door anymore. 

Until one day, lil’ Miss Initial Life Mission from the front door takes it upon herself to figure out how to open the very door she’d been pounding all these years. She may even wander up to you and curl up on your lap. 

Before you know it, you may actually have been blessed with exponentially more than you even had the capacity to wish for. 

I love you fairy folk, I’m so happy we found each other. 

I am looking forward to seeing you next week!!

I have just finished hand writing over 50 Thank You/ Happy New Year cards to post to eeevery single patron that requested one ✉️ 🧚🏼‍♀️ 

I’ve given them all one last hug to make sure the love can be felt when they are opened. Now they will be heading to 4 different continents and 16 different countries! 🌎 

As I am coming up to 900 years old now, I value this kind of slow and tangible communication very highly. More and more in fact. These cards are an entirely customised design by Carolina for this year only. I picked out lil’ purple envelopes from a local stationary shop to match, and I wrote different messages to each person individually. It took forever but it was SO FUN and I will do it every year for as long as I possibly can. My hand is going to take some annual leave from writing for a while until then. Although, if you are a member of Patreon (however long for) and you do want a lil’ card in the post, you can still head over and fill out the form if you want! I can get more cards printed no probs and my hand can have a last hurrah. Or maybe I’ll try and write them with the other hand. How hard can it be…
