Hey there! Just dropping by with a quick update on the next Legend of Zelda Japanese analysis video!

First off, thank you to everyone who chimed in on my last post and for sharing the kind of content you'd be interested in seeing!

Lately, I've spent a good chunk of time researching the Japanese versions of various Zelda titles, including games outside of Tears of the Kingdom.

In the upcoming video, we'll be exploring the intricate connections between the Triforce, Hyrule, and the Sacred Realm throughout the series. I'll be talking about the earlier entries in the series as well as the most recent, TotK.

The next video following that one will examine the Japanese terminology related to powers of light/good. I've published a few videos talking about evil powers so far which has been a blast to do... so I thought I'd do another one that focuses on the powers of good and their connection to the powers of evil! I've stumbled upon some fascinating discoveries for this one already that I can't wait to share with you all.

Beyond these two videos, I have another 3 currently in the drafting stages as well!

Now, I want to extend an apology for the slow uploads. Last year, I was spending around 2.5 to 3 hours commuting to work each day, which seriously limited any time I had to make content. But, good news! My work situation has since changed, and I should have much more time to dedicate to creating content. My goal for now is to eventually release a video every 4-6 weeks, and I do hope my new schedule allows me the flexibility it to make that release window happen sooner rather than later.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support. I truly appreciate it. Even during weeks when I have little time, I have been and will continue to work on the videos. I'm looking forward to bringing the next one to you soon ^^

Stay happy!

Hey there!

What aspects of the Japanese version of The Legend of Zelda are you curious about?

I've got a bunch of topics lined up for future videos, but I also want to hear from you! Is there a particular aspect you've been curious about in terms of how it's portrayed in the original Japanese version, or perhaps something you're interested to learn more about?

Whether it's a particular word or piece of dialogue, a cutscene or maybe a specific aspect of the games, no matter how big or small, feel free to drop a comment or shoot me a message.

Depending on the response and level of interest, I might put together a video covering all your requests, or if there's enough information for a particular topic, I could dedicate an entire video to it.

I hope you enjoyed the recent Ganondorf Japanese narrative analysis, let me know if there's something specific you've been interested in.

Stay safe and thank you so much for your support!

Greetings, everyone! Here's a quick update on the Japanese Ganondorf video!

The video, which analyses Ganondorf within the Japanese version of Tears of the Kingdom, is nearly finished and almost ready to go live. Although I initially planned to release it this weekend, there are still some finishing touches that I would like to make.

It will be a 22-minute deep dive into Ganondorf's lore as presented in the Japanese version of Tears of the Kingdom. I believe there's some genuinely fascinating material in there that, in my opinion, allows for some unique and expanded interpretations, adding depth to Ganondorf's character in an interesting way.

I apologise for the delay in the release, but after these finalisations, it will be ready for you next weekend! Stay safe, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hello, everyone! The video exploring Ganondorf in the Japanese version of Tears of the Kingdom is set to go live in January.

I had hoped to release it before the holidays, but unfortunately, I fell ill earlier this month. But, I'm feeling much better now and will be flying home for the Christmas and New Year period. In the meantime, I've been delving into several topics for upcoming videos after the Ganondorf feature, so please look forward to those as well!

Thank you deeply for all your heartfelt words, encouraging support, and constructive feedback throughout this year on my channel. Connecting with you and the Zelda community has been such a wonderful experience that I'm immensely grateful for and have truly enjoyed! I wish you all a happy holiday season, and I'll see you early in 2024!

Hello there!

The next video is an extensive analysis of Gloom and Malice in the Japanese context!

It's been quite a journey delving into this. Initially, I was preparing for the Ganondorf video, but as I continued to research more, before I knew it I had written over 10 pages solely talking about Gloom. So, I've decided to divide the Ganondorf video into two parts.

The first video will delve into the dynamics between Gloom and Malice in Japanese and the second one will focus more on Ganondorf specifically.

I've been very busy with my corporate job recently, so I haven't had the time to sit down and work on the videos as much as I would have liked to. I'm sorry about the slow uploads, but I am, (and will!) continue to work on videos, and of course, I am very excited to get this one out to you and learn your thoughts!

Take care, stay safe and happy. I hope to see you soon!

Hey everyone! I'm excited to share that I have now completed the retranslation of the entire Japanese version of Breath of the Wild's Adventure Log with each quest in it's "complete" state.

I've a new video covering the nature of the Japanese Adventure Log in Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild in extensive detail. You can find it here if you're interested and yet to see it:

 https://youtu.be/QNznwDwdDNI

For those of you who wish to see a translation of every quest in the game, I've made the full and comprehensive translation of the Japanese Adventure Log available on my Patreon page:

 https://www.patreon.com/QuestWithAaron

it contains the official localisation, the original Japanese text and my personal translation of each quest in that order for your reference.

My next upcoming video will be centered around Japanese Ganondorf which I am already well into the research and drafting stages for. I'm looking forward to getting that one out to you soon, too!

Thank you so much for your incredible support!

Channel Update - Japanese version of Zelda TotK:

Hey! How have you been enjoying Tears of the Kingdom?

I have finally finished my English playthrough now and am well into my Japanese one, too. I have a bunch of ideas and topics I want to research, learn more about and discuss! Currently, I'm deciding what to begin with.

I've been getting lots of questions about how the Japanese Adventure Log in Tears of the Kingdom reads, and I am considering making a video on it (I have about half a script completed for it so far). If this video goes through it will also cover some Breath of the Wild stuff, as well as cover the very nature of the Adventure Log itself, including the type of language used, extensive explanations on how it is written and how it can be read. The complexity of it all is something I haven't covered before in video format, and I believe it is extremely fascinating (and long overdue!).

I am very excited to share that I have a video in the drafting stages about Ganondorf too, so you can definitely expect an analysis of the Japanese text regarding him.

Should you have any questions or if you're curious about something in the Japanese version of the game, I'd be happy to answer anything I can. So feel free to let me know, I can either answer in the comments, or add it to the list of future video topics.

Stay safe, I hope you're having fun in Hyrule!

Greetings!

I've uploaded the Japanese version of the 3rd Tears of the Kingdom trailer with English (and Japanese) subtitles on my Twitter! Feel free to take a look!

I love how Ganondorf says "revival of a true king", and combined with his imperative language, it sounds incredible! That music was so awesome too.

Also, I've a new video due to be released in April, this month! Keep an eye out for it!

Stay safe, let's get immersed in the hype for Tears of the Kingdom, and I'll see you soon!

Hey everyone!

I've got a new video focused on Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom, scheduled to release early next week (if all continues to go well)!

Specifically, we're going back into the Japanese text of Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild to uncover new mysteries about Ganondorf's presence and what they imply for his role in Tears of the Kingdom.

There's some really cool stuff to discuss, and I cannot wait to get this video out to you! I expect (hope) we'll be getting a bunch more info on the upcoming sequel soon, so you can also expect more content then too ^^

Stay safe, and I'll be seeing you soon!

Greetings everyone!

I have a new 22-minute video analysing Revali's character in the original Japanese version of Breath of the Wild (and some Age of Calamity) scheduled this weekend for you!

This video was a ton of fun to make; I've developed a newfound love for Revali's character and I am super excited to hear what you think!

I'll catch you this weekend!

Stay safe and happy!
