A customer tried to DIY replace their MacBook battery, but ended up with a mishap. Ripped off these traces and ended up with a repair bill. Lesson learned: Be extra careful with all plastic connections on newer MacBooks, they're fragile!

it is fascinating how liquid spills on a MacBook almost always seem to impact the same areas, regardless of where the spill actually occurred. One common victim: the trackpad connection and cable.

MacBook Pro exhibiting extensive damage from flood exposure. Internally, pervasive rust and discoloration are evident. Screws, connectors, and other metallic components have taken on a pronounced brown hue due to rust. Particularly, the battery compartment is surrounded by a significant layer of corrosion, characterized by a crusty, white and green buildup. The stark visual contrast between the MacBook's original pristine state and its current flood-damaged condition is unmistakable. Efforts are now concentrated on data recovery given the prevalent corrosion.

Yet another gaming motherboard has been damaged by a burnt SIC632 power chip, which also took down neighboring components. This is a sobering reminder of the importance of using stable power and high-quality components in high-performance laptops. Can we save it ?
