A quick note to let you all know that FlexBV5 is on special at the moment for $129 USD ( down from $147 ).

 https://pldaniels.com/flexbv5

FlexBV is NOT a yearly subscription - you pay it once and that licence remains active indefinitely. Only time you pay again is if you want to move to the next major version later down the line (ie, v5 -> v6) and it'll have an upgrade price.

FlexBV 3 ( currently in alpha) is almost ready to move to beta and then release.

There has been a lot of feature creep with this release. Originally it was just supposed to handle the (old) OBData static text files, but somehow it escaped from that containment and became a vastly more featured system.

* OBData server integration providing pulling and pushing of data
* Multistate feature provides ability to have different sets of values for different situations ( SMC off, Tristar off etc)
* SSL/TLS connection to the server
* Multimeter data capture ability ( blind drop file pickup system )

While FlexBV 3 is in alpha/beta development the price for FlexBV will still be $139 USD, however on the official release version the price will be increasing to $179 USD; so pick up your licence before the price rise and you can still obtain the FlexBV 3 release at no charge as it'll fall within the 2 year upgrade window.

UPDATE: Software for the GwInstek is now available at - https://github.com/inflex/gdm-8341

Hello everyone, just wanted to apologise for not having put up many videos recently.

Between getting wildlings desexed, trying to *STILL* sort out financing for this house, Summer's generally brutal weather ( 38~42'C ), and the lack of a holiday in the last 19 years I'm feeling a tad worn out.

I have been doing bits and pieces of programming, and certainly still being doing macbook repairs.

A bit of excitement coming up soon though I hope with the arrival of my next new bench multimeter perhaps on Tuesday or Wednesday. This time it's the GwInstek GDM-8341, which is about the bottom of their range but more than ample for the work we do (one hopes). Biggest go/no-go factor will be the speed of the continuity and the the settling speed of voltage & diode mode.
