5,000 Mile Update on our GEN-Y Hitch!! 

I can’t believe we’ve already towed over 5,000 miles since our DIY install of our GEN-Y gooseneck hitch in January, but we have. Here’s our thoughts so far ⬇️

👉 It tows great! After the 1,000 mile break in period, we haven’t felt any chucking


👉 We still love and utilize the extra truck bed space all the time. Sometimes I wonder how we ever went without it now


👉 We’ve gotten to test it in a lot of different boondocking situations and have had really good clearance on tight turns and uneven ground, even with our short bed truck

Clearance issues were honestly our biggest concern with switching to the gooseneck hitch, which is why we got the offset goosepuck ball to go with it.

Our RV came with this one and it's so much nicer and studier feeling when entering and exiting the RV. Plus, you don't have to worry about any rogue kids in the campground playing a prank on you and flipping your handle over in front of your door and locking you in your RV (apparently a thing that happens sometimes 😅)

What kind of hand rail do you have on your RV?
