In case anyone missed it, a new video is up! I bought a Tattoo Laser power supply from eBay and this thing is, well, terrifying. I have never seen a commercial piece of equipment built as poorly as this! Still, lets tear it down, attempt a repair, and power the thing on!

It has been a somewhat brutal start to the new year for my family and I, but rest assured videos are coming! I have 4 good projects in the pipeline, but sometimes things take more time than expected. For now, here is a nice picture of a very large KDP crystal that I grew whilst I was figuring out optimal growing conditions. The interesting thing about this is, it was grown in 48 hours!

I was hoping to have a video out already, but quality takes time, especially when building from scratch! This is a sneak peek at one (of a few) creations being built. An unusual and very special type of Laser! Just waiting for bolts and fittings to turn up!

Someone asked what the pulse from the Nd:YAG Laser looks like minus the Q-switch from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjaLv... The pulse is not smooth as you might expect but contains a series of spikes. This was first observed in Ruby Lasers and is aptly termed "Spiking"!

I have been riddled with the cold so the next episode will be a little late! Here is a sneek preview of part what I have been working on. I got a beautiful metal case of of eBay to use in a project. The first image is just playing about with panel components placement, and the second is all of the front panel parts initially fitted (there has been a slight modification since then...). It doesn't charge Batteries, but it does charge "stuff"! What could it be?

A beautiful home-made profiled electrode assembly, for an upcoming video that will involve high voltages, light, Lasers and some secret sauce!
