Hey everyone! 🍁  #OnThisDay  🍁 Today marks the start of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.  Last year, I got the chance to visit the Canadian National Vimy Memorial – such a powerful experience standing on Hill 145, right where some of the toughest fighting happened.
Vimy was a huge deal for Canada during WWI, marking the first major allied victory of the war.  It brought together four Canadian Army units for the first time, but it came at a heavy cost with 3,598 Canadians losing their lives out of 10,602 casualties. Four brave souls were awarded Victoria Crosses for their incredible bravery.  #CanadaRemembers
