Also, I know its coming  but... it will be a big relief if I can get that Virtua Fighter announcement here vs waiting longer into the year, so join my prayer circle 

No vid today so update time why not! We are heading into Evo Japan which is sure to be jam packed with all sorts of cool gameplay, announcements and moments so expect coverage of that when it goes down at the end of the month.

Nothing set in stone justttt yet but it looks like travel season will begin again soon for me for work purposes. Obviously can't say what or when but if it works out cool videos will follow! Also I haven't booked anything yet but its 99.99% likely I will be at Evo in vegas later this year. Evo Japan would be nice but only got budget for one lol.

Will try to think of some interesting vids for the upcoming week. For someone so focused on news/trailers/etc its always so dry before one of the big tournaments cause everyones saving their stuff for then lol.

Also not fighting game related but finally got Eiyuden Chronicle, I kickstarted that like 4 years ago. If you like Suikoden it plays exactly like you would hope. Game owns. Anyways thats about it for now so have a good week coming up!

APRIL FOOLS MF'ERS 

Back home from New York and the Kumite! Event was a blast, met tons of fantastic people and if you saw the kumite you know the matches were world class too(even if there was a lot of total blowouts lol)

Guess I gotta work on the branding though cause so many people were shocked it was me, nobody knows what I look like, gotta stream more/make more appearances at events I guess!

Since were back home now back to business as usual, we are gonna add Fatal Fury City of the Wolves to the ol' content pile, got some ideas of some SF6 vids in the near future(hopefully), will get the wheels turning on another Tekken 8 character guide, probably another secret VF shill video and lots more to come basically! Speaking of streaming actually ill probably stream a bunch of dragons dogma 2 just cause I love DD1 so much.

Hey so old man Rooflemonger is out on the road again, this time in New York! I will be at the Red Bull Kumite today and tomorrow so for those who happen to be there, don't be afraid to say hi (look for the big ogre with sideburns). I got my laptop and all that with me so if there's any big news(and there might be on the SNK front SWC is happening right now!) I will do my best to cover it here, although it may not be in the most timely fashion cause well... not at home lol

But yeah if you wanna watch some good SF6, probably tune into the Kumite over the weekend, even last nights community event was insane.

And on a non-redbull front, thanks to everyone watching and supporting the VF content, means a lot to me, I really care about that silly old franchise and I am legitimately over the moon about it coming back. So please bear with the ranting and raving on VF cause its probably gonna keep happening lol. 

Hey just an update for what to expect this upcoming week! Lots of stuff!

Tomorrow Monday, Multiversus is making its grand re-debut in some fashion. Don't got the exact details but im sure it will be video worthy so expect coverage on the channel.

Also Monday: Later in the day Capcom will be doing a mini-event covering upcoming games of which Street Fighter 6 will be a part of it! Literally no idea what they are showing or announcing but I will be livestreaming along with it on twitch and it goes down around 6pm EST! I would say probably don't expect Akuma, whatever it is is gonna be smaller scale than that but who knows.

Tuesday the Tekken 8 Steve Guide will drop, finishing it up right now(sorry its taken so long!). There's been some very recent developments with Steve with some (bugged?) tech that actually makes his life a lot better, so in lieu of balance changes like I hoped guess we will take it!?

Probably Wednesday we will do some more Virtua Fighter talk with the video I mentioned in the VF6 news vid, just talking hopes/dreams of a new VF and where I would personally like to see the series go and more.

ALSO: Not set in stone justttt yet but looks like I will be attending the New York Red Bull Kumite next week! So if any of yall in new york that are attending on site wanna say hi, looks like I will be there! Won't be there in an official capacity like the Toronto event, ill just kinda be at large.

All that plus whatever other news may happen + whatever I can dream up, should be a fun week! 

Alright just got back home! Red Bull Kumite(Canada Edition) was a blast, really nice to meet up with Woolie and Reggie again and Yipes & Tasty Steve were perfect gentlemen and a pleasure to work with and talk to.

After our event we are sending Zhen to the Red Bull Kumite in New York so make sure to watch that as its gonna be a big deal!

As for content on the channel will get the engines revving again on that front, wasn't really able to work on any videos while I was out for the weekend. Ed and Steve guides are a go, and look forward to more sf/mk/tekken content as I can dream up! Also maybe not anytime just soon, but we really gotta talk about Virtua Fighter 6 

So in Toronto right now to prep for Canada's own Red Bull Kumite Street Fighter 6 Event! Goes down tomorrow, Saturday, March 2nd. You may recognize Canada as the proven best north american region for SF6 and tomorrow red bull is gonna send one lucky player to the big Kumite event in new york!

Event starts 10am PST/1pm EST and I believe you can find it @ twitch.tv/redbull

I myself am lucky to officially be part of the event in a small way, and you an also find other luminaries on site like Tasty Steve, Yipes, and Canadian Legend Woolie! So basically if yall wanna watch some quality SF6 play tomorrow, this probably is a good way to do it 

Hey so just quick update(watching capcom cup finals right now)
1)So for next week, probably busy! We got Ed, Peacemaker, and looks like patches for both SF6 and MK1. Patch coverage will be my priority first, but I will try to get something for the characters as well time permitting.

2) In the leadup to the red bull kumite new york event, there will be a red bull event here in Canada that will send some lucky people to the LCQ in new york! I am part of that event in a official capacity... in some way im not sure yet lol, but stay tuned for some SF canadian goodness next Saturday!

3) Did briefly bring back streams this week(did a fun tekken bear stream!) but since this upcoming week is so busy streams probably not happening this week and will normalize in the following week. Probably more tekken bear fun, or maybe back to SF6 as well depending on how I like that patch? we will see! Also as a staunch dragons dogma supporter maybe some DD2 streams as well when that happens

4) I know its further in the future but since there was actually Project L / 2XKO news this week, just wanna reaffirm what ive always said in that when the time for the game comes, you won't find a better channel for coverage

thats everything off the top of my head, more fighting game goodness to come throughout the year! 

Ok follow up to the last community post: YES, I will make a Steve Guide since he won the poll by a decent margin.
HOWEVER
I already grinded tons of time labbing with him and I think he's fundamentally broken(in the bad way) with the lionheart stance working in such a way I can't believe is intentional(ill go into it below). They announced that on the 20th there's gonna be the event stream where they are gonna talk a bunch of stuff including the next round of balance changes so I am gonna wait first to see if thats brought up at all, cause I do like my guides to stand the test of time as long as possible. Either its addressed, or they consider it intentional and ill go from there either way.

So yes, guide will happen, just wait a few days first! Ill figure out something else until then!

(ok so whats wrong)
everytime you transition into lionheart stance which is the new fangled thing and happens often enough, you cannot leave the stance by any means other than wait it out, do a stance attack, or do one of his canned steps. All well and good but most situations the idea is you have frame advantage and its your turn and your mixup, but it all auto-loses to either a heat burst, or power crush armour, and you are not allowed to block either!!! Power crushes you can duck left/right/front depending on the move with the correct timing, but it supposes you know literally every power crush in the game and how it works and the right timing/sides for each one, WHEN ITS SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR MIXUP. Just even allowing to cancel lionheart into block(or one of the throws) would fix a lot of the issues. Considering its the shining start of the "new steve" it being so easily defeated and your mixup is actually their mixup I cant see it as intentional. Anyways thats my issue with it.
