This is one of the coolest pieces of furniture that ive seen in a long time. The fact that you get to build it yourself just makes it so much cooler! I've always been a fan of hidden staircases, or secret passageways built into homes. This concealment shelf allows you to hide things in plain sight! Hide Anything!
In this video I show how to take one of the 'Stealth Shelf' Kits from The King of Random, and assemble it into a working concealment shelf. Let me know if you have any questions!
To mount the shelf on a wall in the USA. Make sure you find 2 studs, 16 inches a part, and screw the back wall of the shelf into each stud. You should probably use 2 or 2.5 inch screws. I go over this information at 8:16 in the video.
To mount the shelf into concrete or brick, You'll need a Lead Screw Anchor. Screws wont go into concrete, but if you set an anchor first... (Which means, drilling out a hole the same size as the anchor into the concrete, and then pushing the anchor into the hole) then the anchor can grab and hold the screw and shelf in place.
