Tutorial on how to install Cinnamon Desktop environment into Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin. Cinnamon is a good replacement to Gnome 2.x Classic Desktop but comes with Mint menu instead of the Gnome 2.x styled Application menu. Its ideal if you prefer a more traditional styled desktop instead of Unity.
There are a selection of applets for Cinnamon available from Linux Mint website. A link to the applet page can be found within the settings on Cinnamon.
