In this feature overview video series, we highlight new capabilities included in the latest update to Microsoft Power BI.
Power BI automates all the heavy-duty tasks of managing performance and scalability needs. Datamarts are a new object within the Power BI workspace and are fully-integrated with Power BI lineage and deployment pipelines. Admins will have full visibility into datamarts created in their tenant and can take over at any time with an easy on-ramp to Azure Synapse Analytics.
Self-service datamarts are fully managed relational data stores within Power BI. They can be created using a simple and familiar experience and an intuitive visual interface. While SQL is still supported, this new experience allows analysts to create datamarts without writing a single line of code, learning DAX, or even having business analyst skills.
