Snapdrop is AirDrop for Android - and everything else too. It's not quite as seamless as AirDrop because it doesn't 'just work' by default with every device nearby, but it's as close as I think a thrid-party could get. Snapdrop uses WebRTC paired with a minimalistic interface to encrypt and transfer files between any two devices connected to the same network. So far, my experience has been excellent, so it's easy to recommend this P2P file-sharing system for anyone who isn't using all Apple devices. Issues primarily arise if you are trying to use Snapdrop while altering your DNS or using a VPN - see GitHub and Reddit for discussions regarding these issues.
