The API will be created by using the Node.js ExpressJS package and we will obtain some data from the Mockaroo service. Once we have setup and built a working endpoint, we will write a small front-end which will consume the API and display the random name based on a button click from the user. As you might suspect this is a bit overkill for a simple random name generation, but this full-stack web development project is a good exercise in developing a simple back-end that can then be used on the front-end. However it's a good JavaScript tutorial to show you how to parse data from a file and it might give you some more web development project ideas to build up your portfolio.
