Girls Aloud are one of the biggest girls bands to ever hit the UK Charts. In the 10 years they were together, they sold over 8 million records and garnered a record breaking 21 consecutive Top 10 singles - something no other girl band has ever achieved. In 2009 they went on a three year break and the girls started working on their solo careers, before reuniting one last time in 2012.
Cheryl worked with will.i.am to start her solo career which helped her achieve 5 No. 1 singles - more than any other British female solo artist. On the side, she started a successful run as a judge on X Factor UK, until she quit to take judging spot on X Factor USA and was ungracefully fired by Simon Cowell. After publicly falling out with Simon for several years, she made her triumphant return to the UK judging panel in 2014.
Nadine started her own pub in LA and attempted a solo career by setting up her own record label and releasing her own music. She released one album and has since signed a new record contract with Virigin, beginning work the production house who produced all of Girls Aloud's albums, Xenomania.
Nicola was third to go solo. Having done some TV work, she released her album to critical acclaim and has since become a songwriter, writing for artists such as her ex-bandmate Cheryl and Little Mix.
Kimberley has worked almost exclusively in musicals since the band split, but she did release an album of covers from musicals.
Sarah was last to attempt a solo career, releasing an EP in 2015.
