Well this was a little unexpected! This Thursday is probably the last #ClapForCarers event. This is where we come out and clap, make noise, band pots and pans and play instruments to show our appreciation for our medical staff and all the key workers. It's been 10 weeks now, and I had planned to play We Are The Champions during the event. The clapping starts at 8pm and lasts a minute or more, and I had the equipment set up, and was about to do a sound check roughly 15 minutes before. My dad was setting up the camera as well as you will see. Well, during the sound check, the little girl opposite us heard me came out and my dad asked if she had a favourite Disney song, and she said, not really, but I really like The Greatest Showman. So, I thought why not do This Is Me. She sat down, and I started to play - and then the rest of the neighbours came out to listen. So, instead of playing We Are The Champions, it turned into a mini concert recital playing requests from my neighbours! The little girl was quite shy but was really happy as well!
