A financial analyst in China recently found that a nearly 2 trillion dollar trade surplus that China has accumulated during the pandemic is missing. It sparked curiosity among Chinese internet users about the disappearance of such a vast amount of their nation’s wealth. Where did the nearly 2 trillion dollars go? And a more troubling question is: How did the entire financial world outside China neglect a discrepancy the size of more than 10% of China’s GDP? Lastly, under the CCP’s tight grip, how could the massive amount possibly leave China? The hint: The Chinese are fed up and becoming creative in moving their money.
