Whether you're a casual jogger or into long distance, paying attention to footwear and form could help reduce the risk of injuries. With the release of Christopher McDougall's 'Born to Run' in 2009, runners all around the world started moving towards minimalist footwear in an effort to reduce injuries. Some went too much too soon, and reported injuries and came to the conclusion that the benefits weren't true. We spoke to Dr Joe Warne of TU Dublin to find out where the benefits lie and how they can benefit runners of all types.
