A nice little project we were undertaking yesterday. Our mission was to locate and remove a 'rogue' population of Grevillea banksii that had established and has also been exchanging genes / hybridising, with a Critically Endangered Grevillea species thats endemic to just a few square kilometres on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland . A bit of a tricky one as the critically endangered Grevillea , Grevillea banksii and hybrids of the two where mixed together, but mission accomplished. A very rewarding project helping to preserve this very rare Grevillea.
