Rebars are produced in large quantities and must be permanently tested for production control. Depending on the manufacturing standard, the surface form of the reinforcing steel varies. ZwickRoell has developed robotic testing systems for testing on rebars. For the automatic tensile test on rebars, specimens of bar stock are cut to length, separated from mats and lattice girders and manually filled into magazines. Fully automatic testing can then be carried out. A process for artificial aging at 100 °C can also be integrated into such a testing system.
