Oftentimes when someone is accused of antisemitism they brush it off and insist they were merely “criticizing” Israel. This is because the hatred of Jewish people is a unique form of bigotry, and most people are not familiar with how it has functioned throughout history. In the past, when antisemitism reached violent levels, Jews were unable to stand up for themselves.
