Line-up: NISHLA SMITH vocals; TOM HARRIS piano
‘Moments’ is a three-part conceptual concert programme from imaginative song-interpreters Nishla Smith and Tom Harris.
Over the course of three May 2021 livestreams, they’ll tell a continuing story, shifting perspective from show to show, weaving together beloved songs and original music with new poetry, stories, and musical interludes.
In Part 1: Falling Down Wells, presented as part of Ronnie Scott’s Lockdown Sessions livestream series, they’ll tell the story of a boy who lately has found himself falling down wells. He thinks as he falls, his mind roaming over stores old and new, as he talks to the beetles and snakes that live underground, until, glancing up he notices a Lark, silhouetted against the moonlit sky. Featuring a diverse programme, from Holiday to Ellington, via Dvorak and Joni Mitchell. Donations: https://ko-fi.com/ronniescotts
