"Stand for Something Good" Chika established the "Hagi-Oshima Sendanmaru (Fleet)" project with 60 fishers. As Sendanmaru's representative director, she applied for national certification as a "sixth industrialization" project and began to ship out products under this brand. Her interest in food stems from her own cancer experience and a desire to provide safe and secure food from the primary sector. Fishers nationwide are engaged in marine environment conservation under this sustainable fishing brand. Chika works with fishing cooperatives to identify shipping routes and develop sales channels, and since 2015, has been involved in reconstruction work on fishing ports in Fukushima as she continues to develop the Sendanmaru brand.
