Episode 4 sees SLS winner Gustavo Ribeiro dip out of his contest schedule to wrap the Ementa video with a heavy Portuguese crew ripping around the iconic spots of the skate capital. As well as hitting up Parallel and Besos, Gustavo and Gabriel roll up on MACBA with Guilherme Durand, Bruno Senra, Emidio Silva and Rapha Castilho in tow to kick it with Macbalife head honcho Alex Braza at the world’s most famous skatespot. As Julio Arnau explains in our Greetings From Barcelona feature, the 1992 Summer Olympics saw a transformation in the cityscape from visionary urban planning to neighbourhood regeneration projects which would turn the Catalan city into a skateboarder’s paradise. Within a decade the city was a feature of every skate magazine and video across the globe, and to this day remains a Mecca for skaters who want to add their chapter to the city’s skateboarding lore.
