Manhunt is a third-person stealth survival horror video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games, originally released in November 2003. It follows the story of James Earl Cash, a death row inmate who is unexpectedly released from prison and forced to participate in a series of gruesome snuff films. The films are directed by a man known only as "The Director" who communicates with Cash through an earpiece, directing him to kill various gang members and other criminals in order to stay alive.
