Nevertheless, this model has shown its limits and it's time we make sure we are still ahead of the wave as we are aiming to support different software stores as well as hardware shipping our software. This presentation will explore how our ecosystem has changed and its implications by taking a look at how linux distributions have evolved and discuss where KDE fits in there, concluding in some ideas on how KDE can adapt its deployment strategy to ensure that it remains relevant and accessible to users.
