After the devastating oil spill in Mauritius, these young people are taking action. Almost 1,000 tonnes of fuel has leaked into the waters off the coast of Mauritius, causing an environmental emergency. Shaama, Anesh and Mariam tell My World how the spill is affecting the island and its rare wildlife. They are helping to make barriers to prevent the oil spreading, and with the help of Greta Thunberg are raising awareness and money for the relief efforts.
BBC My World is a new show for young people around the world, brought to you by executive producers Angelina Jolie and the BBC World Service to show you how the news is made, fact-check stories and spot fake news.
