The Oakland A's on Wednesday said they signed an agreement to buy land for a future ballpark in Las Vegas. Oakland officials said they will cease negotiating on trying to get the team to stay. According to a statement from the team, they said they have "invested unprecedented time and resources for the past six years to build a ballpark in Oakland," but they said little progress has been made despite support from fans and leaders at the state and local level.
