But what can you expect at your interview? In the video i'll discuss from my experience what you can expect based on a typical Junior Web Development position that you might be applying for. I think it's important to note that these are for 'typical' Junior Developer positions as if you're applying for a position at Google, Facebook or another big tech giant, chances are their process will be a fair bit different. So first off is questions. In fact the most part of a Junior Developer interview (or any other interview for that matter) is the Junior Developer interview questions section. This is a chance for a potential employer to get to know you and it's a chance for you to show your personality off a bit. They may ask you questions like 'tell us a bit about yourself' or 'how did you get here today' so it's worth preparing a few responses to these sorts of questions. You'll also be asked to complete a coding challenge, like the FizzBuzz (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2U0fDt8pqQ if you are wondering 'what is fizzbuzz') challenge mentioned in the video and you may also be asked to work through a whiteboarding challenge (if you're wondering 'what is whiteboarding?' then it's just working through a potential problem on paper rather than using code) or event an impossible problem that's presented for you to see how you would handle this type of situation. There'll also likely be a technical Q&A section where you will be asked about basic internet and web development technologies like HTTP, DNS etc. Finally they'll be a chance to ask questions to the employer which is a great chance for you to show your interest in the position. In the video, i'll explain the types of questions that are good to ask and which ones you should avoid.
