Here's another original song, with an interesting video concept as well (that was quite a bit of fun to put together). This track, "Move Along", was an experiment in writing something completely different - something more abstract, more crisp, and more hard-edged than my usual.
Lyrics:
Gray. You're cold as you walk away.
Slice clean and see.
Thousands of parts, no room for beauty.
Pray. Your feet trace another day.
The miles and the pasture and sky.
A promise of life without room for goodbye.
Cold, shiver now.
Cold, shiver down.
There is no one here to see.
Move along now, move along now.
There is no one here to see.
Move along now, carefully.
Thousands of parts...
Cold, shiver now.
Cold, shiver down.
Gray. The lights of the cars are gray.
They light up the stars today.
Gray. The lights of the cars are gray.
They light up the stars today.
The lights are...
Cold, shiver now.
Cold, shiver down.
There is no one...
There is no one here to see.
Move along now, move along now.
There is no one here to see.
Move along now, carefully.
There is no one here to see.
Move along now, move along now.
There is no one here to see.
Move along now, carefully.
