If you want to build a DIY welding cart, this video includes free plans and will walk you through every step of the process. This is a great welding project for beginners. The best part of making a welder cart is that you can build it just like I did or you can modify the design to fit your needs. Some modifications that you might consider are listed below.
Mods to Consider:
1. Gas Cylinder: This was designed to hold my 7.5" diameter cylinders. If you are using K size (9" diameter) or larger cylinders, you will need to modify the design accordingly to fit
2. Handle: The handle sits low on this cart, which is great for me, since I rarely move the welder around. If you move your cart often, you may want to modify the design to raise the handle or the whole top tier.
3. Additional tier: If you want to add an additional shelf for storage, you can easily add another tier.
